GENESEA provides an organizational tool, the
Portfolio View, which supplies users with student data filtered
to include only information related to the students assigned to
them. From this filtered student list, users can access their students'
IEP documents and process workflows with a single click and track
their compliance. The system keeps track of which steps in the workflow
users have completed for each student and how much time remains
for them to complete the unfinished steps while remaining in compliance.
If steps are not completed within the time frame defined in the
system, it displays visual indicators to let users know they are
not in compliance.
Administrators
can access student data for their site and view workflows to check
for compliance.

GENESEA provides users with the ability to
generate and store student IEPs on-line. The system allows the multiple
service providers assigned to an individual student to access his
or her IEP and add information related to their roles.
GENESEA
includes features that allow users to generate IEPs more efficiently.
The system lists IEP process steps for a student, controls their
sequence, prevents "skipped" steps, and provides compliance
timelines and risk indicators. A goal library allows users to search
a goal database and add goals to a student's IEP from multiple subject
areas with specific, standard descriptions. Information from this
goal library auto-populates the goal descriptions and benchmarks
in the student's IEP and saves significant time.

GENESEA tracks the steps in the workflow process
to ensure that all steps are completed in the correct sequence.
The workflow guards against skipped steps by controlling the process.
The workflow steps can be customized to match the processes that
the district currently follows.
