November 2007 - Executive Management Team Announcements

Edupoint Educational Systems announces the appointment of Joe Kirkman, Edupoint President and CEO, and an additional executive team member, Joe Zello, Ed.D, as Vice President of Special Education. The addition of these veteran education executives reflects the continued growth of Edupoint and the commitment to bring customers world class products and services.

Bob Weathers, Founder and Chairman of the Board retains an active role in the company, turning much of his focus to software architecture and future developments.

February 13, 2007 - Edupoint Educational Systems Announces CSIS Compliance

Edupoint Educational Systems has been notified by the office of the California School Information Services (CSIS*), that its flagship student information system, GENESIS, is now fully CSIS capable. With this final confirmation, GENESIS is acknowledged as a solution capable of managing and exchanging student and staff information for the California Department of Education through CSIS.

*The California School Information Services (CSIS) Program is a legislative initiative charged in 1997 with developing and implementing an electronic statewide school information system to facilitate the exchange and reporting of student information by local education agencies (LEAs) to the California Department of Education (CDE). January 11, 2007 - Edupoint Educational Systems Awarded Contract with Mohave Educational Services Cooperative, Inc., AZ

Edupoint Educational Systems was awarded a contract with the Mohave Educational Services Cooperative, Inc. in Kingman, Arizona. Mohave Educational Services (MESC) has served schools throughout Arizona since 1971. Over those 35 years MESC has served their members by providing services and support. Their Purchasing Services group "… awards and administers public procurement contracts for quality products and services. Only contracts that provide the best value and benefit to our members are awarded. Membership includes schools, colleges, cities, counties, and qualifying nonprofit organizations."

Edupoint's Founder and CEO, Bob Weathers, states "This is great news. We are very pleased to be selected by Mohave as a quality solution for Arizona schools. Acknowledging our GENESIS student information system as a 'best in class' product speaks to our dedication and experience in the education marketplace. December 13, 2006 - Edupoint attends Arizona School Boards Association's Annual Conference, Phoenix, AZ

Edupoint attends the Annual Conference for Arizona School Boards Association in Phoenix, AZ. The Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA) is a non-partisan, non-profit organization representing 260 all volunteer active and associate governing bodies of Arizona's public school districts. The organization provides a catalogue of resources for local governing boards and conducts conferences and training activities for district governing board members. ASBA also is a federation member of the National School Boards Association.


October 31, 2006 - Edupoint attends California Education Technology Professionals Association's 46th Annual Conference, Montery, CA

Edupoint Educational Systems attends the California Educational Technology Professionals Association's 46th annual conference in Monterey, CA. Founded in 1960, CETPA serves the technology community of California's K-12 school systems.



October 23, 2006 - Edupoint announces Gary Smith as VP of Sales

Edupoint Educational Systems announces that Gary Smith has joined the firm as Vice President of Sales. October 2, 2006 - Edupoint Products SIF Certified Through CPSI Agent

July 26, 2006 - Edupoint Educational Systems announces full support for the popular cross platform browser, Firefox® 1.5

Edupoint's development team has optimized use of FireFox and their web-based flagship products, GENESIS and GENESEA. The FireFox browser is often used with Macintosh OS X and linux desktops. Delivering this browser compatibilty provides flexibilty and choice to these Edupoint customers.


July 7, 2006 - Edupoint announces the launch of 'Parent Experience'

This module is now available for all GENESIS clients. According to Edupoint's Vice President for Development, Rob Wilson, this exciting new module provides features that allows parents to query and view information about their children in real time. This new component of GENESIS complements the 'Teacher Experience', a module of Edupoint's web-based GENESIS Student Information System designed for classroom use. The combined modules of parent and teacher experience illustrate the power of product design linking the central office, classroom and home.
